We were recently involved in assisting an employer to make some changes to an employee’s terms and conditions. In this instance we assisted with the consultation process and helped give the employee a clear picture about how the changes would affect them. After careful handling all parties agreed to the amendments and the formal contractual change was implemented. Without this consultation the employee may have brought a claim for unauthorised deductions from wages against the employer.
