Upgrading from Sage 50 to Sage 200

You might find that you’re at the stage where you’re outgrowing your current Sage 50 software. Fortunately, making the switch to Sage 200 from Sage 50 is straight forward.

Using Sage’s migration tool, we can convert all your Sage 50 data to Sage 200 Extra.  Alternatively, you may wish to take the opportunity to review your current data and start with a clean sheet in Sage 200 to take advantage of the many features in the software.

The upgrade process

Once you decide to go ahead with upgrading to Sage 200 the process is done in 5 steps:

1. Installation & configuration

We’ll understand your needs and listen to what you require. We will then go ahead with installing Sage 200 with all the appropriate add ons and modules you require.

2. Test migration

Testing is an important step. We want to make sure everything runs smoothly and with your way of working.

3. Training

At this point we will visit you to give you your on-site training. We’ll make sure you fully understand how the system works before we make the switch over.

4. Live migration

When you’re happy, we will set a date and make Sage 200 live.

5. Ongoing support

We know how a new system can be quite daunting when you haven’t used it before, so we provide ongoing support for you. We’re just a phone call or a screen share away.

How long does it take?

Depending on the complexity and configuration, the process of upgrading typically takes 6-13 weeks. However you will know in advance the timescales in which we are working to.
