Role Overview

As part of our outsourcing service to clients, Price Bailey provides high quality book-keepers with competent skills to our clients. We undertake a variety of accounting tasks and assignments both in house and at our clients’ premises

 

Principle Responsibilities:

  • To undertake a range of book-keeping tasks and assignments
  • To reconcile and to resolve any issues with reference to both the client and to the Price Bailey Business Team
  • To control the assignment and record the time spent on tasks accurately and in accordance with the Price Bailey client time recording system
  • To regularly keep in touch with the client and portfolio managers and report on progress
  • To learn a cloud accounting system such as Xero or Quickbooks Online
  • To keep skills up to date and learn new skills as the client work demands
  • To undertake computerised and manual book-keeping – including accounts file setup, processing of sales & purchase invoices, income review and reconciliation, purchase ledger review and reconciliation, nominal ledger review and reconciliation, bank reconciliation, overall expenditure review, extended trial balance preparation, resolving queries by liaison with clients.
  • To prepare management accounts
  • To provide Xero and Sage ad-hoc support to clients

 

Person Specification:

Work based competencies

  • AAT or equivalent qualification (RSA) with a minimum of 2/3 years supporting experience, preferably within a practice environment.
  • Previous proven skills and experience in computerised and manual accounts processing and reconciliation to trial balance
  • Experience of Xero and Sage 50 experience is highly desirable

  • Communicator: knowledgeable and assertive communicator commanding clients’ and colleagues’ respect.
