Graduate Corporate Finance Executive – Cambridge

Due to continued double digit growth, Price Bailey, a Times Top 100 employer and Top 30 UK Accountancy Practice, are currently recruiting for a Strategy and Corporate Finance Analyst to work as part of our Corporate Finance department. We are a relationship-centric business that utilises the unique combination of expert skills across a number of departments to provide a comprehensive service to our clients. The Strategic Corporate Finance department helps businesses grow their valuation and then exit; we do this this by using a combination of strategy consulting, research, M&A and by raising debt and equity funding. This unlocks our client’s ability to acquire domestically and internationally, raise VC funding, invest in R&D and grow. Combined, this makes for an exciting environment, full of challenge and opportunities to learn.

 

As a graduate Strategy & Corporate Finance Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects and, over time, will build up the necessary skill sets and knowledge to support and eventually lead on key services that the Strategic Corporate Finance department provides, such as: Research and Analysis, Strategy Consulting, Debt/Equity fundraising from banks, and institutional investors, Valuation, Lead Advisory, Mergers & Acquisitions, Financial Modelling and Financial Due Diligence

 

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Analysing transactions, companies, industries and macroeconomic trends to assess the growth potential and value of our clients
  • Learning the key value drivers of our clients and learn to derive/test assumptions around their growth capabilities
  • Conducting market research and identifying the opportunities that our clients can explore
  • Conducting comparable company and transaction analysis to prepare valuations
  • Generating informed opinions on strategic decisions and capital structure
  • Assisting on a wide-range of mid-market deals through the preparation of teaser documents, information memorandum and valuation reports.
  • Assessing the feasibility of certain transactions
  • Assisting the wider team in ad-hoc research and analysis tasks

 

The ideal applicant will be a recent or expectant graduate achieving a 2:1 or higher in a numerate subject and will be a critical thinker and an inquisitive learner. The ability to clearly communicate analysis and opinions is an absolute must due to the nature of the role as is the ability to build genuine relationships with clients and other team members, we have a very strong culture of team work at Price Bailey so the successful applicant must mirror this. The successful candidate will be expected to develop well-informed opinions and must be willing to have these challenged so the ability to remain objective and reason with an alternative view is crucial. Equally, the successful applicant will be required to balance multiple projects at any one time making strong time management skills essential

Post COVID, this role will be based out of either Norwich or Cambridge, travel to other offices will however be required from time to time.
