Graduate Corporate Finance Executive – Cambridge

Role Overview

  • Price Bailey is a Top 30 UK Accountancy firm with offices across East Anglia and London. This role sits within our Strategic Corporate Finance (SCF) department which helps businesses grow their valuation before an exit by using a combination of strategy consulting, research, M&A and by raising debt and equity funding. As a Graduate SCF Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting client projects and, over time, will build the skills to eventually lead on key services that we provide.
  • In order to be successful in the role, you will need to have a good balance of logical thinking, interpersonal skills and a focus on detail. We don’t expect the candidate to be a business expert – in fact many of us did not study business before joining – but we do want to hire someone with the aptitude and hunger to learn.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Analysing transactions, companies, industries and macroeconomic trends to assess the growth potential and value of our clients Learning the key value drivers of our clients and learn to derive/test assumptions around their growth capabilities
  • Conducting market research and identifying the opportunities that our clients can explore
  • Conducting comparable company and transaction analysis to prepare valuations
  • Generating informed opinions on strategic decisions and capital structure
  • Assisting on a wide-range of mid-market deals through the preparation of teaser documents, information memorandum and valuation reports.
  • Assessing the feasibility of certain transactions
  • Assisting the wider team in  ad-hoc research and analysis tasks

Person Specification:

Work based competencies 

  • Recent Graduate in an analytical field with a minimum of a 2:1
  • Able to form and articulate a critical view of a problem/data set
  • Open to having opinions challenged
  • Able to truly understand a client’s needs before communicating value-add analysis
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
