Role Overview

  • Price Bailey Legal Services LLP is a niche law firm regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority with Lexcel Accreditation. Uniquely it sits within the Price Bailey Group, a firm of chartered accountants and business advisers. Due to recent growth we are looking to appoint an Immigration Lawyer to develop our Immigration service offering and manage a portfolio of cases


Principle Responsibilities

  • To manage a portfolio of immigration cases to a high standard in accordance with PBLS requirements. Effective provision of immigration advice to clients.
  • Proactively identify business development opportunities to build up a healthy portfolio of immigration cases, including attending networking events, carrying out training and seminars, developing a marketing strategy and building key relationships with existing clients, colleague and external referrers.
  • Display pro-active awareness of current relevant legislation and compliance standards relating them to client situations
  • To be responsible for the effective delivery of services to client on a day to day basis
  • Proactively identify opportunities to add value and refer clients to PB specialists.
  • Effectively control own portfolio and client costs.
  • Raise high quality business correspondence and deliver high quality legal advice whilst demonstrating a value for money service to clients.
  • Takes full responsibility for WIP, billing procedures and debtor control of own portfolio with support from team members.
  • Welcomes opportunities to meet with referral sources for fee development purposes.
  • Includes opportunities for fee development in client conversations or correspondence where appropriate.
  • Is the main point of contact for queries from clients within own portfolio.
  • Recognises when matters exceed technical knowledge and experience and seek support from supervising team members.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with clients including proactive contact


Person Specification:

Work based competencies:

  • Ideally has a minimum of 6 years PQE
  • Possess excellent knowledge of immigration law
  • Proven experience in handling and managing own caseload
  • Proven experience in advising on immigration cases
  • Proven experience of winning work and retaining good client relationships with ongoing referrals of work

  • Good IT skills
  • Organiser: think ahead, effective planner and ensuring multiple deadlines are met.

Other Information

  • Core business hours 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9:00am – 5:30pm)
  • Travel will be required across the region to be at clients’ premises for our normal business hours
