The team

As a senior member of the Compliance department, it will be your responsibility to support the partner with audit quality control, as well as dealing with technical queries of an audit, financial reporting and ethics nature.

While the team is based out of our Bishop’s Stortford office, we will consider those that wish to work remotely.

The role

As a Technical Senior Manager you will have ownership of the following tasks:

  • Assisting with technical queries in relation to audit, financial reporting, money laundering, ethics, company secretarial and some specialist reporting areas such as Pensions, SAR and FCA
  • Performing hot and cold file reviews
  • Carrying out root causes analysis exercises
  • Reviewing changes to standards and communicating these to the firm
  • Providing ad hoc training on key audit, financial reporting, money laundering, and practical areas for staff
  • Assisting with the drafting of procedures and policy documents

The person

You might not have all of the experience below, but if you meet the minimum criteria and are passionate about developing yourself, we’d love to hear from you:

  • A professional accounting qualification – ACA, ICAS, CA or ACCA (minimum criteria)
  • Significant audit experience and the ability to review audit files (minimum criteria)
  • IFRS knowledge and experience
  • Experience of summarising reports on findings in a concise manner
  • Experience of audit software (we use Caseware) and Microsoft packages
