Pensions have come into sharp focus in recent years and at our forthcoming Pensions Conference, Sir Steven Webb will share his knowledge on current and anticipated future concerns within the pension field for the new Government in his keynote speech; ‘The Pensions Landscape in 2017 – issues for the new Government.’

Sir Steve will provide a compelling review of the pension landscape in the UK and will be discussing tax relief, state pensions, automatic enrolment and occupational pensions. All forms of pension provision will be covered.

He will be sharing ideas on the many issues impacting future retirement income and will provide expert insight from his time in office on how pension policy is made.

Director of Policy at Royal London and former Minister of State for Pensions

Sir Steve is Director of Policy at Royal London and was Minister of State for Pensions between 2010 and 2015, the longest-serving holder of the post. During that time he implemented major reforms to the state pension system, oversaw the successful introduction of automatic enrolment and played a key role in the new pension freedoms implemented in April 2015.
