StJohn joined Price Bailey in February 2015 and has been working with small and medium business clients across a wide range of sectors for the last 11 years.

He has a wide range of experience working with owner managed businesses in helping them with the issues that they face. StJohn recognises that owner managed businesses need an holistic approach to their issues and for all areas to be considered. This includes how changes in the business might affect not only the performance of the business but also the tax that it pays. Also any personal financial and taxation impacts that this might have on the owners of the business themselves. His work therefore covers not only business accounting and taxation advice but personal tax work and planning too.

In addition to his work in the small and medium business sector, StJohn is also very much involved in the firm’s work for Academy Schools. Academies require assistance not only in the form of a year end audit, but ongoing advice and help throughout the year largely given to the heavy regulation which they are required to comply with and the frequent changes that they experience from adopting new systems and ways of accounting for transactions on conversion. Recently much of his work in this sector has been around the impact of more and more academies forming Multi Academy Trusts.

Regardless of the situation being dealt with StJohn understands the importance of explaining quite often very complicated issues and information in a way that his clients can understand and relate to as well as being able to take a commercial and pragmatic approach to his work and advice.

StJohn lives in Norwich with his wife where he moved to from Cheshire in 2013. When he’s not in the office he enjoys meeting up with family and friends and (when time allows) playing the occasional game of golf.
