London Wine Retailer Gains French Seal of Approval

French Private Equity house Chalus Chegary & Cie (“3C”) recently completed a 25% investment in expanding wine retailer, Borough Wines following the conclusion of a financial due diligence exercise by Price Bailey Corporate Finance.

London-based Borough Wines has grown substantially since it was established in 2002, and sought investment from 3C to fund its ambitious future expansion plans.

Stephen Reed, Corporate Finance Partner at Price Bailey said: “As a result of the due diligence process, 3C had a clearer view of the potential risks and opportunities of the planned investment, enabling them to proceed with more confidence and to liaise with their lawyers (Adam Jones of Birketts LLP) to ensure suitable protections were considered within the contractual arrangements.

“The completion of the investment will enable Borough Wines to press ahead with their expansion plans and cement the future success of the business.”
