Four intrepid employees from the Cambridge office of chartered accountants Price Bailey recently showed their nerves of steel as they took to the skies and leapt out of a plane at 13,000 feet .
The four skydiving girls, Nicola Ruminski, Polly Cunnington, Sarah Garner and Sophie Ellingham, were sponsored by friends and fellow employees to raise money for the firm’s charity of the year, World Child Cancer, and succeeded in raising more than £4,000.
“Despite all the nerves and the fear, it’s safe to say we all loved the experience,” said Sophie Ellingham. “It’s rewarding to know that by raising this money we will help save six lives.”
World Child Cancer treats children with cancer living in developing countries and provides effective pain relief where treatment isn’t possible. Anybody wishing to support the cause can visit the fundraising page at www.doitforcharity.com/pricebaileyskydive.
