Thirteen people from Price Bailey, the East Anglian based chartered accountants and business advisers, will be facing their fears by taking part in a skydive for charity, Action Medical Research.
With the aim of raising as much money as possible for Action Medical Research’s ‘Saving Tiny Lives’ campaign, the team: Iona Ivemy, Mel Root, Julie Llewellyn, James King, Richard Vass, Daisy Vass, Chris Godsave, Howard Sears, Karen Cox, Patrick Matthews, Rebecca Allard, Henry Foley and Alex Wight, will be jumping from a plane at 13,000 feet on 28 March at Chatteris jump centre in Cambridgeshire.
Action’s ‘Saving Tiny Lives’ campaign is focused on generating funds in order to carry out research into reducing premature births. Around 60,000 babies are born prematurely in the UK, and sadly 1,000 tragically die making it the biggest cause of death in babies; for those that do survive, it’s also the leading cause of disability.
James King, Corporate Social Responsibility Partner at Price Bailey, said: “We are thrilled that so many people from Price Bailey have taken the opportunity to face their fears and take part in a sky dive, whilst raising money for such a worthy cause.”
“This will be the final fundraising effort in a two year partnership with Action Medical Research. We are hoping that all the money raised will help us to surpass our fundraising target of £107,000, making this partnership our most successful one ever!”
