Offshore company incorporation and administration

Helping you set up and manage a new entity

Offshore company formation setup

Different options for different purposes

You can set up an offshore company for many reasons. For example, within complex structures, they can increase flexibility and reduce risk. Or you can use them as stand-alone vehicles for a wide variety of activities, including:

  • property holding
  • family business
  • family office ownership and management
  • investment holding
  • international pension-holding
  • yacht ownership and management.

In Guernsey, we can help you choose from a wide variety of company types to suit your requirements. We can also incorporate and manage a company for you in other jurisdictions, such as Jersey, the Isle of Man, the British Virgin Islands, Malta, the Cayman Islands and many more.

Flexibility and agility

If you have specific needs relating to family estate planning, asset protection or inheritance planning, you can use an offshore company as an asset-holding structure, in tandem with an overlying trust or foundation.

Under Guernsey company law, a company can be limited by either share or guarantee. It can also be unlimited or of mixed liability. Plus, Guernsey companies can be converted easily from one type to another in a single process – a facility that’s not available in many other jurisdictions.

A new Guernsey company can usually be registered within 24 hours, subject to the usual anti money laundering and client documentation. There’s also a 15-minute option.

Corporate governance consultancy

When running an offshore company, it’s vital to demonstrate compliance with the codes and policies issued by regulators and self-governing bodies. It’s also important to ensure the board is functioning appropriately.

If you’re busy with day-to-day operations, it can be difficult to provide an independent review and make any required changes. With our experienced team of corporate governance and company secretarial professionals, you have expert advice on structuring your board and managing meetings – as well as external board-effectiveness reviews.

Non-executive directorships

If you need a non-executive director to add value to your offshore company, we can help you find the right person.

We have experienced professionals involved in all areas of financial services, including accountancy, investments, banking, funds, wealth planning and insurance. We are also in regular contact with experts outside of our business, who are experienced non-executive directors in a number of financial and commercial fields.
