Helena Wilkinson

During her time at Price Bailey, Helena worked on a practice-wide basis as a Corporate Partner and Head of Charities and Not for Profit. She was Vice-Chair of the ICAEW Charity Group until December 2019, having been involved for 9 years. She is a recognised charity expert, and whilst at Price Bailey frequently wrote for national and charity press, in addition to presenting at charity events.

Helena worked within the Not for Profit sector for over 30 years. This has involved over 23 years in professional practice, in addition to 7 years as Finance Director for Alexandra Park and Palace.

Helena has worked with a vast range of not for profit charities over the years, including many household names. She has been a Trustee and Chair of the Audit Committee of a charity. Her roles within the industry have included financial management, corporate governance and strategic planning.

Her experience on ‘the client’s side of the fence’ enabled her to give innovative and pragmatic advice. She has written the CCH Preparing Charity Accounts book – first published in July 2015. Helena was particularly knowledgeable of the challenges and conflicts faced by a Director of Finance and had plenty of experience in finding practical solutions to resolve complex problems.

Since Helena’s retirement, Michael Cooper-Davis and Suzanne Goldsmith continue as Partners in our Charities and Not for Profit team, each bringing many years of experience in the sector.
