William’s Professional Experience

William joined Price Bailey as a Partner in 2017 as a result of an acquisition of a firm where he was previously a Director and employee since 1999. William is an FCCA qualified Chartered Accountant and head of our Business team, offering advisory support to over 80 accountants across the practice. William began his career as a payroll clerk and went on to spend nearly 20 years as an accountant at Sandcroft. His longstanding experience in the local area has resulted in a large book of established clients and a fantastic reputation across the region.
William particularly enjoys working with family businesses having previously established and sold his own. His experience in general practice serving owner managed businesses stretch across a number of sectors, with particular specialism in both haulage and manufacturing.
Outside of work, William can be seen regularly charity fundraising by both cycling and running in endurance challenges. More about William.

William was paramount in supporting our client base through the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic and was seen regularly spearheading content on that subject throughout the pandemic period.

William was quoted in an article published by The Telegraph in November 2020 discussing directors borrowing company money and the resultant tax bill on the ‘Directors’ loan.’ Further displaying his expertise, Williams’ insight into tax in small businesses has featured in regional chamber of commerce.
William has previously been invited to speak at Ely Cathedral Business Groups’ networking sessions whereby each month discussion is focused on a different professionals’ experience, challenges and insights.
