On the 28th October, Chancellor of the Exchequer John Healey will deliver the Budget.
The morning after the Budget, Richard Grimster, Partner and Head of Tax, Simon Blake and Chand Chudasama, Partners in the Strategy & Corporate Finance team, will provide an insightful webinar, unpacking the key announcements, explore the implications for businesses and individuals, and answer your questions live.
The team will also dive into the government’s ‘budget scorecard’ and discuss what the assumptions are on the timing and quantum of tax, spending and borrowing in comparison to Rachel Reeve’s 2024 budget which, as we’re sure you will remember, front-loaded expenditure and back-ended tax receipts within this Parliament. Importantly, the team will explore what this means for the burden and risk shared by business owners and different groups of tax payers during a Healey chancellorship.
