Jack in the Box is home to two nursery sites in South Norfolk, grown by founder Annabelle Conway from her small childminding business operated in her own home, to a nursery with a capacity for over 80 children. The nurseries have received an Outstanding OFSTED grade on each of the last three inspections, and boasts an excellent, purpose-built facility constructed in 2015 and later extended in 2018. Annabelle has always run the nurseries as a flexible, nurturing environment, with the progression of each child individualized to assist them best in their development.
Price Bailey is delighted to announce that the Strategic Corporate Finance (“SCF”) team has provided sell side advisory assistance to Jack in the Box Nursery (Norfolk) Limited in their sale to Bright Stars Nursery Group Limited (“Bright Stars”).
The business was first introduced to our Strategic Corporate Finance (SCF) team by our Business Compliance team who have provided accounting services to Jack in the Box for a number of years. The SCF team, led by Stephen Reed, were subsequently engaged to support Annabelle to realise the value of her hard work in growing the business over a number of years. The team project managed the process, through marketing, negotiation, due diligence and through to completion. Our Business Team provided information support to the SCF team throughout the planning and due diligence process. Ashton’s Legal, led by David Sloman, were the legal advisors to the vendors.
The Company was acquired by Bright Stars Nursery Group in November 2022. It was important to the sellers that the brand they had grown continued with minimal disruption to the nursery and parents, and Bright Stars’ desire to keep the day-to-day running of the nursery as it always has been, was a key factor in the Sellers’ decision.
