Matt Leggett

Matt is a Chartered Accountant, and re-joined Price Bailey in 2025.

His accountancy adventure began in 1998 in a large regional practice where he progressed to manage the audit team and looked after the firms larger more technical clients, a role he also did for Price Bailey until 2014.

In 2015 he founded External Accounts, a small independent practice in Norwich which grew from start-up to 800 clients in 10 years and even acquired another small practice in Great Yarmouth along the way.  In those 10 years Matt maintained a very close professional relationship with Price Bailey working together on numerous clients over the years, so when the opportunity to merge the two firms together came along in 2025, it was a simple decision all round.

Matt looks after numerous owner managed businesses all around the country and around 100 clients in the renewable energy sector, including solar, wind, hydro and also battery storage. He provides services to not just the operators and developers of projects, but also the sector investors and consultants. He also looks after various investment vehicles on behalf of large international private equity firms.

Outside of work he likes to spend time with his family, loves a holiday but his biggest dream is to become a single figure handicap golfer one day!
