Price Bailey’s Corporate Finance team has advised the shareholders of Cambs Compressor Engineering Limited (“Cambs”) on the successful sale of the business to Teqnion AB, a Swedish listed industrial group that partners with profitable niche businesses, focusing on long-term ownership and decentralised management.

Price Bailey acted as lead corporate finance adviser to the shareholders of Cambs Compressor Engineering Limited throughout the transaction. Our role encompassed preparing the business for sale, including assisting with the preparation of financial information, marketing the opportunity to Teqnion, managing discussions and negotiations, and supporting the shareholders through to completion.

Cambs Compressor Engineering Limited is a specialist provider of compressed air systems and solutions to a broad range of industrial customers. The business delivers systemcritical products and offers a comprehensive service proposition, supporting customers from initial design and installation through to ongoing maintenance, servicing and compliance.

Founded in 1992 by Mark Fryer, Cambs has built a strong reputation for technical expertise, high levels of customer satisfaction and longstanding relationships with key partners within the compressed air sector for more than three decades. This has underpinned steady growth and robust margins over a sustained period.

The shareholders were seeking a long-term partner that aligned with Cambs’ culture, values and commitment to employees and customers, while also providing a platform for the next phase of growth. Teqnion’s investment philosophy, focus on people and permanent ownership model made it a strong strategic fit and resulted in the acquisition of 100% of the issued share capital of Cambs Compressor Engineering Limited.

As part of the transaction, Mark and Annthea Fryer will continue with the business temporarily alongside Teqnion until the internal succession plan is implemented, ensuring continuity for customers, employees and suppliers.
