Price Bailey announce five senior-level promotions in October, reflecting it's ongoing commitment to developing talent and strengthening its leadership.

Price Bailey is delighted to announce five senior-level promotions in October, reflecting it’s ongoing commitment to developing talent and strengthening its leadership. 

The firm has appointed two new directors: Ben Harper in the Business team and Thomas Birch in Marketing. In addition, three senior managers have been promoted: Dan Gammon who provides Corporate Finance services to clients in the Parks team and James Hart, and Ian Phillips both within the Audit & Assurance team.

These appointments highlight Price Bailey’s dedication to nurturing expertise and supporting career progression at every stage. This comes as Price Bailey makes 122 promotions across the firm in 2025. 

 

Ben HarperBen Harper – Director, Business
Ben joined Price Bailey in 2023 as a Senior Manager in the Parks and Leisure team, bringing 24 years’ experience in audit and accounts, including over a decade managing teams of accounting professionals. He has worked across a wide range of sectors and is passionate about helping clients meet their compliance needs while building relationships founded on trust and confidence.

Outside of work, Ben enjoys ballroom dancing with his wife and movie nights at home with his three daughters.

Thomas joined Price Bailey at the end of 2018 as Digital Marketing Manager, bringing experience from the financial services sector. He has played a key role in building a digitally focused marketing team, enhancing the firm’s online presence, and generating high-quality leads. Thomas has since taken on responsibility for Business Development alongside Marketing and is a Chartered Marketer and a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM). Thomas mentors aspiring marketers, chairs the board of trustees for his sons’ Scout group, and enjoys spending time with his family.

Dan joined Price Bailey in 2004, qualifying in 2008. After two years in Corporate Finance in the City office, he transferred to the Parks and Leisure team in 2013, developing deep expertise in the sector and leading numerous successful transactions. As Senior Manager, Dan will continue to drive the growth of the firm’s corporate finance Parks and Leisure service offering. Outside of work, Dan has a young family who keep him busy, along with his love of cooking. Dan is also a coach of his son’s U12 football team at Soham Town Rangers, along with watching his youngest son start in his own team this year. 

Ian PhillipsIan Phillips – Senior Manager, Audit & Assurance
Ian joined Price Bailey on the graduate scheme in 2013 after studying Maths and Statistics at the University of Warwick, qualifying as ACA in 2016. His primary focus is Academy Trusts, which make up over half his portfolio, alongside commercial audits and pension schemes. Ian leads the Bishop’s Stortford Audit & Assurance team.
Outside of work, he is a dedicated Everton Football Club supporter and enjoys travelling with his fiancée Kelly, recently visiting his 58th new country.

 

James HartJames Hart – Senior Manager, Audit & Assurance
James started at Price Bailey in 2017 on the Stepstone graduate programme, after studying a degree in accounting and finance. During his training, James spent time in both the Business and Audit & Assurance Teams and has also worked in both the Bishop’s Stortford and City of London offices. He now manages a diverse portfolio of audit clients, incorporating academies, telecoms, energy, charities & NFPs, and various other enterprises. He also emphasises awareness of cyber security threats and hopes to increase client knowledge of potential cyber threats and how to prevent them.

James aims to make sure client service is friendly and fair, while continuing to develop the growing City A&A team from various angles. Outside of work, James and his partner enjoy movie nights and travelling together to explore different cities and cuisines.
