Steven’s Professional Experience

Steven Butcher standing in Office NorwichSteve joined Price Bailey in 2003, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2006 and a Chartered Tax adviser in 2012. Steve has specialised in tax advisory services since 2010, helping our clients identify and capitalise on planning opportunities and realise tax efficiencies wherever possible, his experience also covers audit, reporting, accounting, and taxation services.

Steve’s areas of expertise include the taxation of companies, individuals, and owner managed businesses, including work in respect of share incentives, R&D, SEIS/EIS, succession planning, business reconstructions, sales and acquisitions, liquidations, and bespoke transactional tax planning. Publications, Coverage and Speaker Events

Steve has previously been invited to speak at numerous events over his career. Examples include speaking at Tax Assist conference and hosting table sessions for groups of their franchisees for 3 or 4 years. Steve has presented to tax franchisees at numerous locations, discussing a broad variety of topics in tax planning terms.

Steve has attended Broadland business breakfast where he presented on the tax work that we do at Price Bailey.

Steve has also attended a series of Property seminars with Birkett’s solicitors where he has both chaired the event and attended as a speaker. Primarily with a commercial property focus, the events allow discussion of topics such as tax planning considerations for those opening or acquiring commercial property and the lifecycle of buying and selling. As well as speaking previously at Anglia Capital Group events in Norwich on SEIS/EIS.

Steve regularly contributes to content production for Price Bailey’s website as he sees our content as assisting in building a connection with our clients and delivering the expert service we pride ourselves on. Examples of content that Steve has been involved in producing include advice on R&D (details of claims and credits) a guide to the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS), and an article regarding High income child benefit charge (HICBC).
