Our Corporate Social Responsibility Programme

corporate social responsibility

At Price Bailey, we’re committed to investing in the future – for our business and yours.

What is PB Inspires?

PB Inspires is our new flagship Corporate Social Responsibility programme at Price Bailey, using our time and expertise as a firm to support young people in our communities, upskilling them to make informed life choices and offering valuable experience and opportunities.

Working in partnership with Visionpath – an award-winning social enterprise that helps businesses and young people become future-ready – we have formed relationships with secondary schools in our key communities of Bishop’s Stortford, Cambridge and Norwich. In each school we are supporting a programme of activities designed to harness the knowledge and experience of our people, to help students aged 14-18 become ready for the future with access to skills and experiences that will shape their success.

Research has shown that as few as four employer interactions whilst at school can have a dramatic positive impact on a young person’s engagement in education, their future career prospects and their earnings potential.

As a major employer in our communities, we see it as our responsibility to actively influence the future success of young people in the local area – equipping them with new skills, providing practical advice and guidance, offering hands-on experience of work and access to employment opportunities.

We have also listened to what our people want from us as a firm – being actively engaged in our communities gives our team members a chance to develop their skills and use their expertise in new ways, to support the next generation.

Who we’re working with

We are partnering with a secondary school in Bishop’s Stortford, London, Cambridge and Norwich, helping students to succeed in school and work. We have selected schools with low levels of employer engagement and, in some cases, above average levels of disadvantage among the student body.

  • Bishop’s Stortford – St. Mark’s School. Supporting the employability of their students from Year 10-13.
  • Cambridge – Netherhall School. Helping their Sixth Form students become ready for work.
  • Norwich – City of Norwich School. Equipping Sixth Form students with the knowledge and skills to succeed.
  • London – Harris Academy Tottenham. Supporting the employability of their students with the knowledge and skills to succeed.

“As an employer, we wanted to offer our teams more than just a salary and a pension – The world has moved on and people want to broaden their skills and find ways to help others. With the help of the team at Visionpath, we have created PB Inspires to invest in the next generation, our communities and our people. Our team members can work in local schools to help students make informed choices for the future and access the world of work. The feedback from our team has been great; they have really made a difference for local students and learned new skills along the way.” James King – Partner, Price Bailey
