Making Tax Digital: What healthcare providers need to know

The UK tax system is undergoing a major transformation, and if you’re a healthcare professional, it’s essential to understand how these changes will affect you.

Making Tax Digital (MTD) is HMRC’s long-term initiative to digitise tax reporting. From April 2026, the MTD for Income Tax threshold income is £50,000 and MTD will apply to self-employed individuals, including GPs, dentists, associate dentists, locum doctors, pharmacists, landlords and anyone with income over £50,000.

If you operate as a limited company, MTD for Corporation Tax is still in development and not yet mandatory. MTD does not yet cover partnership income or dividend income, although it is possible that MTD for partnerships will be introduced at some point.

In this webinar, our Healthcare experts will break down:

  • Who needs to comply
  • How MTD affects healthcare professionals
  • Benefits for healthcare providers
  • Practical next steps

Register your place today to learn what MTD means for you and how to prepare.
