For the second consecutive year 200 businesses that are owned and managed across London, Hertfordshire, Cambridge and Norwich have spoken to our independent research partner, Ipsos MORI, to be part of our survey that delves into the mind of a business leader.
The research covers aspects such as growth outlooks, how Brexit is affecting exports, the daily concerns of running a business, growth strategies and the life of a business owner.
Some of the key statistics that came out of the 2017 report:
- 74% are confident they will grow in the next three years
- More than half (55%) of decision makers say that so far it has made no difference to their business
- Recruiting and keeping the right talent is one of the top three concerns for 60% of businesses
- Only 14% choose an acquisition as a top-three growth strategy
The results were discussed in-depth with a leading panel of experts at our recent series of events across Norwich, London and Cambridge and brought up some interesting and contrasting views in comparison to our 2016 Inside the Minds report particularly around Brexit. Here’s what some of our participants at our events said:
Businesses that plan are more successful, but don’t let planning hinder agity. #pbmind
