Local chartered accountants, Price Bailey, based in Bishop’s Stortford has been raising money for a new charity The Georgia Hutchins Fund.
The fund started in memory of a former Price Bailey employee Georgia Hutchins who sadly passed away in 2018 after a battle with Leukaemia.
Georgia was a much-loved member of the team in the Bishop’s Stortford office at Price Bailey and will be remembered for putting others first and making the lives of those around her fun, wonderful and memorable.
The purpose of the fund is to raise money for Haematology Cancer Care at University College Hospital London where she was treated. The money raised will be used to support the hospital purchase new equipment, train staff and fund research into treatments.
Price Bailey have already raised funds by selling facemasks and future events in lockdown include staff taking part in virtual bingo, pictionary and online quizzes.
Price Bailey Charity Committee member Simon Dewhurst said: “Georgia was a very special person who touched the lives of everyone she met. Many people at Price Bailey have fond memories of her and we are looking forward to supporting the new charity named in her honour. We have some exciting fundraising events lined up and know that Georgia will be smiling down on us knowing that we are raising money for such a great cause.”
Members of the public can support the fund by searching for the ‘Georgia Hutchins Fund’ on Just Giving, Facebook and Twitter or click here.
