Price Bailey is delighted to have been confirmed as finalists in the ‘Excellence in Financial Services and Insurance’ category at the Broadland and South Norfolk Business Awards 2020.

The firm has been nominated for their partnership with Escalate Dispute Resolution, a ground-breaking new service that is transforming how SMEs in East Anglia manage bad debts, late payments and commercial disputes. The service removes all financial risk from the claimant, including protection from adverse costs. Having changed the delivery process to target prompt settlement and ensuring all disputes have an outcome rather than be lost or left unfinished, the service also has fixed fees, guaranteeing the claimant will always be the main beneficiary of any award. Since launching in 2017, Escalate is helping SMEs to recover over £80 million in commercial disputes and bad debts.

The award is aimed at recognising organisations that have created a product or service which delivers positive financial incomes to its customers among other criteria. The award winners will be announced at a ceremony held at Open Norwich on 26 March 2020.

Matt Howard, Partner at Price Bailey said: “We are extremely proud to be nominated for the Excellence in Financial Services and Insurance award at this year’s Business Awards. Price Bailey have taken the lead to build up the regional professional community to support SMEs with Escalate through partnerships with Barclays, Ashtons, Fosters and Norfolk Chamber of Commerce; it’s great to see it receiving the recognition that it deserves. Escalate is a truly innovative service that helps to challenge the way that disputes and bad debts are resolved.”

He continues: “Resolving a commercial dispute has historically been time-consuming, costly and risky for claimants, which is why many of them decide to reluctantly write-off what they’re owed. Escalate has helped to put that right. By removing financial risk, providing transparency on process and pricing, and ensuring that the claimant remains the main beneficiary on settlement, Escalate provides an opportunity to resolve disputes and late payments in a way that helps rather than hinders businesses cash flow.’’
