Price Bailey shortlisted for three prestigious British Accountancy Awards

Price Bailey, the East Anglian based accountants, has been shortlisted for three British Accountancy Awards, including the prestigious National Firm of the Year category. The Awards are recognised as the industry’s most respected accolades and awarded to firms which have demonstrated excellence in their profession.

As well as National Firm of the Year, Price Bailey has been shortlisted for Large Firm Innovation of the Year and Graduate and Non-Graduate Programme of the Year.

The National Firm of the Year award is awarded to an accountancy firm with a turnover greater than £25m in recognition of how the firm has added significant value to its clients across all service areas. The winning firm will show how the services it has provided have been fundamental in enabling their clients to achieve their specific business goals, increase revenues and satisfy and delight their customers.

The Large Firm Innovation of the Year award seeks to recognise a firm taking a different and innovative approach to either business structure/strategy, or its approach to client service provision. Price Bailey has been nominated for devising and creating Practice Portal™ to unite the many systems the firm uses and improve the way client data is accessed. The Price Bailey solution is unique, no other software exists that provides the same functionality. It has been so well received that Price Bailey has commercialised the product and already sold it to other practices.

Price Bailey is the smallest accountancy firm to have been shortlisted for these two awards.

The Graduate and Non-Graduate Programme of the Year award recognises excellence in developing a business-led training programme, including apprenticeships, recruitment programmes and school leaver qualification-based schemes, demonstrating innovative ways to attract, retain and develop younger generations to the profession. Price Bailey was highly commended in this category last year and has been shortlisted again this year in recognition of the continuing achievements of its StepStone, FirstStep and PBInspires programmes for graduates, non-graduates, apprentices and work experience students.

These nominations follow Price Bailey winning the Outstanding Community Engagement Contribution award at the British Accountancy Awards last year.

Martin Clapson, Managing Director at Price Bailey, comments: “To be shortlisted in these three categories is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the Price Bailey team and the progression we have made over the past year. We are among the smallest firms to be competing in these awards, which demonstrates how we are able to combine a small, family feel with market-leading services.”

“The National Firm of the Year category is the main award at the British Accountancy Awards, so for us to be shortlisted is a fantastic achievement. We are the only regional firm in the shortlist of five. Despite our focus on London and East Anglia, we now clearly have a growing national reputation.”
