Price Bailey’s second series of Inside the Minds of Business Leaders events has concluded for 2017 and more than 500 business leaders from across the region gathered at events held in Norwich, Cambridge and London to hear the results of a research project examining issues ranging from Brexit, business confidence, growth and exit strategies.
The research, Inside the Minds of Business Leaders, was undertaken by Ipsos MORI in partnership with Price Bailey and involved interviews with 200 local business leaders across the East of England and London.
Presented by Matt Painter of Ipsos MORI and chaired by Martin Clapson, Managing Director at Price Bailey, the findings provoked some very interesting discussions and gave the panel of experts and the audience a lot to talk about. The expert panel included former Chief Economist and Director of Policy at the Institute of Directors, James Sproule (read James Sproule’s Inside the Minds of Business Leaders Q&A) and Deputy Agent for the South East and East Anglia at the Bank of England, Tim Pike.
In addition, regional experts joined the panel at the Norwich event including Jonathan Cage, President of the Norfolk Chamber of Commerce and founder and Managing Director of Create Consulting Engineers, (read President of Norfolk Chamber of Commerce to join Price Bailey debate) alongside Caroline Jarrold, Community Affairs Adviser for Jarrold.
Anthony Ward, of Co-Founder of Armajaro Asset Management joined the panel at the London event (read Anthony Ward’s Inside the Minds of Business Leaders Q&A) and Caron Bradshaw, Chief Executive of the Charity Finance Group provided regional and sector insight at the Cambridge event (read CEO of Charity Finance Group to join panel to discuss issues faced by Cambridgeshire businesses).
Each of the events revealed interesting and at times contrasting views in comparison to the 2016 Inside the Minds research findings, in particular, a shift in views surrounding Brexit. The full Inside the Minds of Business Leaders 2017 Report is available to download for free.
